Share Canberra's trusted news:

ikea goes up

THE blowhards said it could never, ever happen. The laws of Ikea construction were iron and immutable, Canberra was too small a market.

And yet, and yet, out there at Majura Park the steel beams are being craned into position and swedish flatpack furniture will soon be within a moderate drive, not to mention meatball competition for Costco’s discount hotdogs.

One hopes they’ve found the right allen key.
