Sustainable House Day heads to Dickson

SEE-CHANGE is collaborating with the owners of ‘One of a Kind Apartments’ as part of Sustainable House Day 2015 on Sunday September 13.

Established in 2001, Sustainable House Day is a national event that utilises peer to peer education to promote the benefits and possibilities of integrating sustainable materials and practices into the everyday home and lifestyle.

One of a Kind Apartments will this year join more than 150 homeowners nationwide in opening their homes to the community to pass on tips and advice on topics such as renewable energy, permaculture, sustainable building practices and more. The event is a valuable resource for anyone looking for practical sustainable information on what works, what doesn’t and how to move toward ‘greener’ living.

One of a Kind Apartments in Dickson will be open to the general public from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 13 September 2015. The cost to visit these apartments is $2, which will be donated to abundantwater.org. A profile on the home listing its sustainable credentials can be found at see-change.org.au .

All visitors to Sustainable House Day must register to attend via the website sustainablehouseday.com to obtain addresses of all open houses.
