Teenager arrested for Chisholm gang mugging

AN 18-year-old male teenager will face the ACT Children’s Court after being arrested over an assault that occurred in January.

The 18-year-old teenager, who was 17 at the time of the incident was arrested by Woden General Duties patrol members this afternoon in Tuggeranong.

The January incident involved the assault of a 31-year-old Chisholm man at the Chisholm Shops around 4am on Monday, 26 January 2015. The victim was assaulted and had property stolen by a number of teenagers. As a result of the assault, the victim was hospitalised.

The teenager was later identified via the investigation to have committed another robbery on the same victim on Sunday, 1 February 2015 at the Woden Bus Interchange.

The teenager was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House and will be charged with aggravated robbery and robbery. He is expected to face the ACT Children’s Court tomorrow (Tuesday, 12 May).
