Turner club robbed by armed men

POLICE are seeking witnesses to the aggravated robbery of the Rugby Union Club in Turner early on Sunday morning.

Police afp cops-0021About 12.40am, three men entered the club armed with a baseball bat and a large machete, and threatened the club’s staff.

One employee was ordered to lie on the floor while the other was taken to a safe. When the safe did not open, the victim was then ordered to open the club’s poker machines.

The offenders grabbed the cash and fled the club.

The first offender is described as about 178cm (5’10”), wearing a black face mask; a thick, blue jacket and black tracksuit pants.

The second is described as about 188cm (6’2”), wearing a balaclava, black tracksuit pants with white stripes down both legs, and white sneakers.

The third offender is described as wearing all black clothing.
