JOY Burch has announced the completion of an $800,000 refurbishment of Latham Preschool.
“Learning environments have a major impact on learning outcomes. The new preschool building and refurbishment of the existing building provide much improved facilities for student learning, interaction and teacher supervision of students,” Joy said.
The project was conducted in two stages. Stage one saw the provision of a new preschool building including preschool playroom, furniture and associated facilities. Stage two saw the refurbishment of the existing preschool playroom, toilets and staff facilities.
“This upgrade will accommodate the current enrolment of 50 preschool students and will allow for future enrolment growth at Latham Preschool.
“I would like to acknowledge the parents and carers who have given input into the project and have provided very positive feedback on the project, with many participating in working bees over the last few weeks to help set up the preschool,” Ms Burch concluded.
The $800,000 project included provision of an external water tank, garden area, internal and external wireless internet access and reverse cycle units.
