Wanniassa Red Rooster robbed at gunpoint

ACT Policing Criminal Investigation detectives are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred in Wanniassa yesterday evening (Thursday, 20 August 2015).

Around 8.10pm three men entered Red Rooster on the corner of Langdon Avenue and Rylah Crescent, Wanniassa armed with a shortened rifle, a knife and a metal bar.

During the robbery the three men made a number of demands before fleeing the store with three cash registers and a sum of cash.

No one was injured during this incident.

At the time of the incident, the first man was wearing a grey striped ‘hoodie’, a white face covering, black pants, red gloves and dark coloured shoes.

The second man was wearing a black ‘hoodie’, red hat, black and white tracksuit pants, a white face covering and green gloves.

The third man was wearing a blue ‘hoodie’ a white face covering and black tracksuit pants.

Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area around Langdon Avenue and Rylah Crescent Wanniassa at the time and may have noticed suspicious activity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.
