ActewAGL warning about downed powerlines

ActewAGL is asking the community to check that trees are 1.5 metres clear of powerlines

ACTEWAGL are advising that the Bureau of Meteorology has released a severe weather warning for damaging winds in the ACT today.

ActewAGL wants to remind the public about the importance of staying clear of fallen powerlines and damaged electrical equipment.

Fallen poles and powerlines can be extremely dangerous, exposing the public to live wires. For their safety people should stay well clear of damaged equipment and anything touching it.

Damage should be reported to their 24-hour faults and emergency’s line 13 10 93. If people see sparking or a fire they should always call 000 immediately.
