ActewAGL warning of hoax bills from scammers

ACTEWAGL is warning customers about hoax emails that look like an electricity or gas bill sent from AGL Energy.

“We’d like to reassure our customers that no ActewAGL customer data has been compromised and advise them to delete the email before opening any attachments or links,” a spokesperson said.

“We have also reported this scam to the authorities.”

ActewAGL customers can also report this hoax by visiting scamwatch.gov.au, calling 1300 795 995 or emailing spam@agl.com.au

If you have received a hoax email and you are concerned about your account call 13 14 93.
