DURING the late 1930s and 1940s the Andrews Sisters wowed the world with hits such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. Now performers Jon Jackson, Andrew Dessmann and Michael (“Dolly Diamond”) Dalton have frocked up to become The Bugle Boys in a cabaret of the same name coming to the Famous Spiegeltent, Civic Square, at 6.30pm on Thursday, February 25. CANBERRA Glassworks has been busy playing with marbles, and in its newest show, it’ll be showing off the responses to this humble yet technically demanding glass art form by nine artists from across Australia. “Collecting Nostalgia,” at Canberra Glassworks, February 18 to April 24.
