Brown water warning for Kambah

tap water

ICON Water crews will be conducting works to allow for a new unit connection in Kambah on Monday February 29.

“The work will occur on the corner of Bateman Street and Masters Place, Kambah and some potential discolouration may impact those, and neighbouring streets,” a spokesperson said.

“Icon Water will endeavour to minimise any impact to the community throughout this essential work. It is not recommended that you drink the water if it appears, tastes or smells objectionable. Customers experiencing discoloured water are advised not to use washing machines and dishwashers as it may stain clothing or clog filters.

“Whilst it is difficult to predict to what degree the water will be affected, Icon Water advises that any discolouration should clear with normal use. If you are experiencing any issues as a result of discolouration beyond Monday 29 February, 2016, please call 02 6248 3111 and select option 1.”
