Changes for MyWay cards

THE ACT Government has announced that MyWay cards are now available at any of the 31 MyWay recharge agents across Canberra and selected cards can be purchased online as part of a suite of improvements to the MyWay smartcard ticketing system.

“A range of improvements have started rolling out this month that will improve experiences for ACTION and passengers,” said Manager of Network Systems, Peter Steele.

“It is now easier to obtain a MyWay card with concession, student, tertiary and standard cards available from any of the 31 MyWay recharge agents across Canberra. Selected MyWay cards can also be purchased online at the Transport for Canberra website.

“Concession card holders can now also update their details at MyWay recharge agents – where previously passengers could only do so from the five Access Canberra shopfronts.

“Upgrades to the online registration process will also allow all MyWay card holders to register their personal and concession details online.

“All card types can be registered using the online smartform at the Transport for Canberra website or by phoning ACTION on 13 17 10. Passengers no longer need to complete a registration form at the time of purchase, providing more convenience for customers who can logon in their own time.

“Registering a MyWay card helps to protect travel credit in the event a card is lost or stolen. By registering a MyWay card, passengers can also check their balance on the Transport for Canberra website.

“These new improvements to the MyWay ticketing system will enhance user experience, making public transport a more accessible and convenient way to travel.”
