Check your tickets, there’s a huge missing Powerball winner

ONE Powerball ticket purchased in the ACT has scooped the entire division one prize pool in last night’s incredible $35 million Powerball jackpot draw!

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said the identity of the winner is a mystery as the sole division one winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card so NSW Lotteries has no way of contacting the ticket holder to let them know they’re the nation’s newest multi-millionaire!

Belinda is urging all customers who purchased an unregistered entry in last night’s Powerball draw in the ACT to check it immediately as they could be the mystery winner.

“Anyone holding a Powerball ticket in last night’s draw from the ACT is in it with a chance to be the $35 million Powerball winner we’re waiting for!” Belinda said.

“So don’t delay in checking your ticket and if you believe you are holding the winning Powerball ticket, we urge you to put the entry in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 as soon as possible to start the process of claiming your incredible prize.

“Your privacy is important to us at this very exciting time in your life and we’re looking forward to hearing from you soon!

“This new multi-millionaire could not only be celebrating the end of the working week today but also the end of working permanently!”

The winning numbers in Powerball’s $35 million draw 1055 on Thursday 4 August 2016 were 16, 3, 38, 8, 17 and 24. The Powerball number was 5.

UPDATE: Now we know where the winning ticket was purchased:

NSW Lotteries has revealed that the Woden Valley district in the ACT was where the sole division one winning Powerball ticket in last night’s draw was purchased.
