Death in Kingston

ACT Policing are investigating a suspicious death in Kingston which occurred during the early hours of this morning (Friday 26 February).

About 1.50am, police were called to an apartment in Eastlake Parade, Kingston, by the ACT Ambulance Service in response to a death. Police attended the apartment and located a deceased woman and a man.

The 31-year-old Kingston man is currently assisting police with their investigations.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations team members attended and examined the scene and will be assisted by AFP Forensic Services.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations team will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be prepared for the ACT Coroner.

Police are treating the death as suspicious. Investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious near Eastlake Parade, Kingston, about 1.30am today to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference 5927727. Information can be provided anonymously.
