Did you witness the latest clobbering outside PJ’s in Tuggeranong?

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a ‘coward punch’ assault that occurred in Tuggeranong on Sunday 28 February 2016.

About 12.30am a male was the victim of an assault whilst outside PJ O’Reilly’s located in Greenway.

The victim was approached by the alleged offender, who asked to borrow a cigarette lighter. The offender then hit the victim in the face, and continued his unprovoked attack before the fight was broken up by bystanders.

The offender immediately fled with a male and female.

Police arrived on the scene where they found the victim with facial injuries.

Police are seeking to identify the male offender (pictured) who is described as Caucasian in appearance approximately 6’2” (185cm) with a shaved head. He was wearing a blue and yellow t-shirt and green cargo pants.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident and are not yet to speak to police, or who can identify the offender, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference 5928508. Information can be provided anonymously.

UPDATE: ACT Policing have made a further statement:

A man is now assisting police with their enquiries into a ‘coward punch’ assault that occurred in Tuggeranong in the early hours of Sunday 28 February 2016.

ACT Policing investigations are continuing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident and have not yet spoken with police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference 5928508. Information can be provided anonymously.
