Dirty water in Yarralumla and Deakin

tap water

ICON Water crews will conduct work to restore a hydrant located on a large water main in Deakin on Thursday May 26. This may cause some temporary water discolouration in Deakin and Yarralumla.

It is not recommended that you drink the water if it appears, tastes or smells objectionable. Customers experiencing discoloured water are advised not to use washing machines and dishwashers as it may stain clothing or clog filters.

Whilst it is difficult to predict to what degree the water will be affected, Icon Water advises that any discolouration should clear with normal use. If you continue to experience discoloured water after Thursday 26 May 2016, let them know by calling 02 6248 3111 and selecting option 1.
