THE National Capital Authority has technical divers hard at work in Lake Burley Griffin to restore the Captain Cook Memorial Jet.
The divers are laying the new high and low voltage cabling on the lake bed of Lake Burley Griffin. This new cables will connect the newly refurbished Jet pumps located in the pump-station to the Jet nozzle housing (outlet) in the lake.
Works will also be conducted on the Jet’s stop-logs located on the lake wall, which control the water flow to the pump-station’s two pumps.
