It was of course at the Capitol in Sydney in 1972, that the Australian public first fell in love with English. Playing Judas Iscariot in Jim Sharman’s production of  “Jesus Christ Superstar,” he launched himself to become a household name, enjoyed, admired and loved by many.

This memorial service is an occasion for the entertainment industry and English’s fans to come and celebrate his life with tributes and performances.

His family would like to thanks Stephen Found for generously providing the Capitol Theatre, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre for offering Paul Dellit to co-ordinate production, and Simon Gallaher, English’s long time stage producer and friend, for arranging both.
