Floriade returns, and with it fights over parking

Floriade 2012-6596

ACCESS Canberra is reminding Floriade visitors to park legally.

“Parking inspectors will be patrolling areas around Commonwealth Park and parking infringement notices will be issued to drivers who park illegally,” a spokesperson said.

“Parking illegally can be an inconvenience for others and in some cases puts motorists, cyclists and pedestrians in danger.

“It is an offence to park a vehicle on open space such as grassed areas, nature strips, footpaths, road verges and landscaped areas. Signs are in place advising motorists not to park on these areas.”

One Response to Floriade returns, and with it fights over parking

Great. So visitors like us even willing to pay for parking are still half an hour walk away. What a wank. Can’t these pen pushing bureaucrats get anything right. An a shuttle bus that start well after floriade begins and goes each hour – pathetic. Our ekka is much better sorted in terms of parking. Really really pathetic. Why isnt it all on the floriade page. Parking is not even mentioned. Bloody poor show
