MICK Gentleman has announced the rollout of CBRfree, Canberra’s free public Wi-Fi network, in the Tuggeranong Town Centre.

“With the federal Liberal Government continuing to drag their feet in the rollout of a National Broadband Network, the ACT Government is continuing to build a city wide wi-fi network that changes the way Canberrans use these areas,” Mick said.

“With 12 Wireless Access Points (WAPs) already live, commuters, businesses, students and visitors can now access free public internet in the area east of the Hyperdome up to the outside of Tuggeranong Library and Community Centre plus parkland bounded by Cynthia Teague Crescent.

“Further areas will be added over the next two weeks as the rollout is completed.”
