Grumpy / Welcome to the dark side

WE all know that Canberra is full of spies. Now, as much as they like to go incognito, I believe that driving a black car at dusk without lights on is going a bit too far.

grumpyI’ve noticed that the last cars to switch their headlamps on in poor light are always those that are black or another dark colour.

What type of personality disorder is this?

One evening I counted 10 black cars without lights on during my seven-minute trip home from the shops. Do they think that everyone else on the road has been endowed with special night vision?

Do they consider themselves exempt from road rules? What makes these drivers so selfish that they won’t consider others who share the road?

Even the laziest person should find it easy to switch the lights on, and it doesn’t cost anything. I can only assume that they don’t want to be seen.

With the current trend towards road-coloured cars as well, actually seeing every car, day or night, has become a difficult exercise.

I personally believe black cars should be banned completely! They have nothing to offer. Easy visibility should be a high priority when buying a car.
