THE 31st Illawarra Folk Festival kicks off today in Bulli with a huge range of acts.
Beginning today, Thursday Jan 14 with a Charity Concert, it will wind up on Sunday evening with a huge finale featuring the Festival Choir, Orchestra and special guests celebrating folk, world, roots, bluegrass, gypsy and Celtic music, as well as poetry, comedy and dance.
International acts include Beth Patterson from the US, Donna Dean & The Tui Melody Boys from the NZ and The East Pointers from Canada.
Australian acts include Ami Williamson, Andalus Arabic Choir, the Bush Music Club Inc. and Folkaphonic Youth Orchestra, while the huge local line-up has The Shield Maidens & the Celt, SingGongGo, Southern Crane Martial Arts Academy Inc., and dozens of other acts.
