PHOTOACCESS’S director Jan Falsone has contacted us to say they’re on the lookout for a new program manager.
Claire Capel-Stanley, the present incumbent, is off to do a Masters of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her replacement, apart from displaying a passion for photography, will work closely with the director, administrator, education officer, gallery committee, volunteers and interns.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing programs at the Manuka Arts Centre organisation that aims to encourage and extend the critical debate about contemporary photo-based art.
The program include education, exhibitions, artist residencies, and community projects and the program manager is expected to have “a high degree of arts literacy,” as well as organisational, planning and project management skills, marketing and promotion experience including social media, sales experience, excellent customer service and communication skills and a desire to achieve a high standard of work.
PhotoAccess Program Manager, part – time (26 hours per week Tuesday – Friday), salary $38,000 per annum, plus superannuation. Applications close Tuesday February 2. All information at photoaccess.org.au
