Men arrested over Gowrie shooting

A 23-year-old Holder man and a 31-year-old Chisholm man have been charged in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in Gowrie last year (2 February 2015).

On 2 February 2015, police were called to the Gowrie residence after reports that shots had been fired into the home.

On the same day, police located a burnt out gold Subaru WRX in Uriarra, which police believed was connected to the incident.

ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations commenced an extensive investigation into the incidents and arrested the two men on Saturday (9 April 2016).

The 23-year-old man has been charged with Discharge Firearm Endanger Life and two counts of Obstruct/Hinder an Investigation and will appear before court this morning.

The 31-year-old man has been charged with Aid/Abet Arson of a Vehicle and will appear before court at a later date.
