New homes in limbo as local builder falls into administration

FYSHWICK building company Today’s Homes & Lifestyle Pty Limited has been placed into the hands of voluntary administrators.

The company specialised in local residential construction and development.

According to Deloitte Restructuring Services partners Eddie Senatore and Neil Cussen, Today’s Homes & Lifestyle is currently building homes for 16 customers. Construction of homes for a further two customers is yet to commence, and an additional 20 clients are in the design phase.

Administrator Sentatore said: “With our review of the company’s financial position set to commence, we appreciate that this is going to be a difficult and uncertain time for affected customers, as well as suppliers and sub-contractors.

“An immediate priority will be to understand the impact on customers and communicate developments to them as soon as possible. Each contract, for projects underway as well those in planning, will be assessed and we plan to work with stakeholders, including insurers and the Master Builder’s Association, to minimise the impact on customers.

“We will also be contacting sub-contractors, creditors, insurers and other stakeholders as soon as possible to advise them of the situation ahead of a first meeting of creditors on a date to be confirmed next week.”
