POLICE have referred the controversial and suppressed ACT Brumbies audit report to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
Without revealing any particular issues of concern, 
ACT police announced today (November 9) that their assessment had been finalised and that they had referred the matter to ASIC on October 11.
The police investigation followed the Brumbies’ and the Australian Rugby Union’s controversial sale of the Griffith headquarters to Canberra developer Graham Potts. In November last year the then-incoming general manager Michael Jones had ordered a forensic report into the sale. Based on the KPMG audit, Jones and the Brumbies board, along with the ARU, decided to refer the matter to police.
The KPMG audit remains suppressed by the Supreme Court and Jones has subsequently left the club.
The team relocated to the University of Canberra last year.
