Jacob McDonald

ACT Policing is continuing its search for 21-year-old escaped detainee Jacob MacDonald. Mr MacDonald escaped The Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) on Friday 2 September 2016.

Mr MacDonald is on remand for charges relating to property and burglary offences and is described as Caucasian in appearance, solid build, with brown eyes and approximately 185cm (6’1”). He was last seen wearing grey pants and a grey jumper.

Police are also seeking assistance to locate and check the welfare of 28-year-old, Jessie Akers.

Ms Akers is an associate of Mr MacDonald. Police have been unable to locate or speak to Ms Akers since the escape of the two detainees and her whereabouts are currently unknown.

ACT Policing believe Ms Akers may also have information that could assist in locating Mr MacDonald.

Police ask the public to call police if they know the whereabouts of either Mr McDonald or Ms Akers, and do not approach them.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the men, or has information that could assist the search, to contact ACT Policing Operations immediately on 131 444.

Police remind people they should not report crime or information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
