Truck hits police car on Pialligo Avenue

ACT Policing is investigating a collision involving a truck and police vehicle on Pialligo Avenue and Sutton Road this morning (Tuesday, 5 January 2016).

At approximately 8:25am, a truck turning right onto Sutton Road collided with a police vehicle travelling east on Pialligo Avenue.

Two police officers were treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service and were transported to The Canberra Hospital. The driver of the truck is assisting police with their enquiries.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision and have not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
