Val Jeffery to briefly tread the Assembly stage

rainbow over the assembly

JEREMY Hanson says the Canberra Liberals team is delighted to welcome Val Jeffery to the Legislative Assembly as a Canberra Liberals MLA, filling the casual vacancy caused by Brendan Smyth’s resignation.

“It’s a privilege to have Val join the team as an MLA for the next few months. His extensive life experience and passion for his community will ensure the tradition of strong grassroots representation from the Canberra Liberals continues,” Jeremy said.

“Val has a strong connection to small business, is an experienced community organiser and advocate and has a great passion for protecting the community as demonstrated through his dedicated service to the Rural Bush Fire Brigade over many years.

“Even if just for a short period of time, the Assembly will be richer for having the addition of Val Jeffery. I look forward to having him as part of the team,” Mr Hanson concluded.
