The Gardens are seeking Expressions of Interest from artists, craftpeople and designers for the design, fabrication, and installation of an original, site-specific and sculptural Treehouse Gazebo to be elevated into the trees of a paperbark grove.
The Treehouse Gazebo is a special commissioning project initiated by the Friends of the Gardens, in collaboration with the Gardens.
The selection process will be undertaken in three stages commencing with Expressions of Interest closing this Friday. From this stage three artists/designers will be selected and paid to complete a site specific design, with final design selection by mid-2016.
In line with the key objectives of Gardens’ 20 year Master Plan, the Treehouse Gazebo will enhance the visitor experience and provide a special place for respite, learning and enjoyment.
