ACT Policing has arrested and charged a 25-year-old woman following the execution of a Drugs of Dependence Act search warrant in Kambah yesterday (Thursday, May 12).

Members of the ACT Criminal Investigations Drugs and Organised Team (DOCT) executed the search warrant at a residence in Kambah as part of a joint operation with NSW Police targeting methylamphetamine supply in the ACT and NSW.

During the search of the premises police seized approximately 40 grams of methylamphetamine, cannabis and a sum of money.

The 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis. She will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court this morning where police will oppose bail.

Crime Stoppers and ACT Policing recently launched a ‘Dob in a Dealer’ campaign seeking information about illicit drugs activity in the ACT. The campaign aims to reduce and disrupt illicit drug supply in the region.

Anyone with any information about illicit drug use and distribution in the community is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Police remind people they should not report crime information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
