AUSTRALIAN-Japanese artist collaborators, Ken and Julia Yonetani are in town to create a 20-metre edible art installation and if you can find a parking place you can help them eat it.
The Yonetanis are, of course, responsible for the amazing installation at NGA Contemporary called “The Last Temptation: the art of Ken + Julia Yonetani”, comprised of chandeliers made from uranium glass that represent nuclear-powered nations and a nine-metre banquet table made entirely of salt.
You can’t eat that ‘banquet’ but tomorrow will be quite different, prepare to feast.
Yonetani banquet, in marquee adjacent to NGA Contemporary on the lake’s edge at Commonwealth Place, (after viewing, service to the public commences) Saturday March 5 at 7.30 pm, all welcome.
