Budget will improve bulk billing in Canberra’s south

THE ACT Budget will deliver $1 million over three years as an incentive for more GP groups to deliver bulk billed care in the southside, including allied healthcare services, says Minister for Health Meegan Fitzharris.

Meegan Fitzharris.
“Our GPs and allied health professionals are pivotal to the health system,” Ms Fitzharris says.

“Improving access to GP bulk billing and allied healthcare such as psychologists and physiotherapists is an important part of strengthening the health services available in our suburbs.

“That’s why we will provide grants to GP groups to extend local bulk billing.”

This incentive is part of a 10-Year Health Plan.
