Fire blazes through Dunlop garage

A FIRE has destroyed a garage in Dunlop after it blazed through two cars early this morning (May 17).

ACT Fire & Rescue were alerted of the incident at Thornhill Crescent at 2.52am.

The fire was contained to the garage and didn’t spread into the house.

The blaze is not being treated as suspicious and initial estimates put the damage bill, including the vehicles, at about $250,000.

No persons have been injured.
