Kingston chef wins top national award

ACT Chef of the Year Damian Brabender has been awarded national Chef of the Year 2017 at the Australian Hotels Association National Awards for Excellence.                                                 

Accredited as the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, the AHA National Awards for Excellence both recognises and rewards excellence across a variety of segments.

Damian moved to Canberra from Victoria three years ago and a year ago opened OTIS Dining Hall in Kingston. He previously worked as executive chef at the Wolgan Valley Resort in the Blue Mountains and spent a number of years working at prestigious restaurants across Europe.
Over the past year Damian has also been awarded a 2017 AGFG Chef Hat and named one of FoodService’s 50 Next Generation Top Aussie Chefs.
