Officer bitten while arresting woman

AN officer has been bitten by a dog while arresting a 23-year-old Macquarie woman on Sunday (March 19).

The woman became a priority to police after allegedly failing, a number of times, to stop upon police direction and for reckless driving.

She was located inside a house in Kambah.

The woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with first instance warrant, minor theft, ride/drive motor vehicle without consent and fail to appear after bail undertaking.

Investigations are ongoing into a number of other offences.
