Three men busted for drug trafficking

THREE men were arrested yesterday (December 14) after police found a firearm, over $31,000, about 1.3kg of a substance suspected to be dibutylone, 39g of a substance suspected to be cocaine, and a small quantity of MDMA.

The three me, a McKellar man, 27, a Crace man, 32, and a Wright man, 28, will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with various offences such as knowingly concerned traffic in controlled drug other than cannabis, attempt to destroy or conceal evidence, attempt to possess drug of dependence and pervert the course of justice.

 

Superintendent of Criminal Investigations, Scott Moller says the police are committed to preventing the supply of illicit drugs into the Canberra community.

“ACT Policing has zero tolerance towards the supply of illicit drugs. Our message is simple, if you are a manufacturer, distributor or trafficker of illicit drugs, we are targeting you, knocking on your door, seizing your assets and putting you before court,” he says.
