THE “Stations of the Cross” exhibition features 16 artists showing works inspired by the story of Christ’s Passion, on the campus of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture and Charles Sturt University. At George Browning House, 15 Blackall Street Barton, March 4 to 15, 10am-4pm.

PETER Boggs continues to explore the mysterious qualities of light through his interior and landscape paintings in “Lux”, an exhibition of paintings resulting from a recent visit to Europe but also inspired by memory and the idea of a place, imbuing the paintings with a dream-like quality. Beaver Galleries, 81 Denison Street, Deakin, March 8 to 25, Tuesday to Friday, 10am-5pm. Then, Saturday and Sunday, 9am-5pm.

BY painting directly onto hand-blown glass forms, Canberra glass artist Erin Conran makes a deliberate decision to be in close contact with the glass, creating intricate linear patterns over many hours of repetitive mark making. “Loop”, at Beaver Galleries, 81 Denison Street, Deakin, March 8 to 25, Tuesday to Friday, 10am-5pm. Then, Saturday and Sunday, 9am-5pm.

“WARMUN at Twenty” is an exhibition to mark the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the Warmun Arts Centre, located in Gija country in the Kimberley. The show includes the work of Rusty Peters, Tommy Carroll, Phyllis Thomas, Patrick Mung Mung, Mabel Juli, Shirley Purdie, Gordon Barney, Charlene Carrington, Rammey Ramsey and Kathy Ramsey. Nancy Sever Gallery, corner of Batman and Currong Streets, Braddon, March 7 to April 8, 11am-5pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

SOLOMON Grainger’s exhibition “Dire” explores the deep instincts that first saw primitive man paint on cave walls, conjuring up visions of dragons, voyages, and earthly wanderings through imaginary landscapes. Canberra Contemporary Art Space, 19 Furneaux Street, Manuka, March 8 to 18, Thursday to Sunday, 11am–5pm.

CANBERRA artist Maiju Altpere is back at X Gallery in Bungendore for her third solo show. This exhibition represents a shift from this work to two dimensional paper based prints with both mediums showing side by side. X Gallery, 32 Gibraltar St Bungendore, until May 7.

“A VESSEL’s Journey”, hand-coloured print of vessels and vases by artist Tess Barker, is showing at Bungendore Wood Works Gallery, until April 16.
