THE winner of Tuggeranong Arts Centre‘s inaugural prize, former journo and now artist, Margot Date, repeats a single stitch to mirror patterns of nature and mapping of the mind in her mixed media exhibition, “Unchained”. Also, Tom Buckland, Nicci Haynes and Dan Moor present new interactive works in “A Magic Stranger than Death”, both at Tuggeranong Arts Centre until December 23, daily 10am–4pm.
BRAZILIAN artist Christus Nóbrega’s exhibition, “Labirinto”,’ continues at Canberra Contemporary Art Space until February, but meantime the visiting artist is determined to make an artistic expedition to follow the route of the movie “Priscilla (Queen of The Desert)” to Alice Springs. “The expedition is an opportunity to learn more about Australia’s history, culture and territory,” he says, inviting Canberra art lovers to follow him at facebook.com
