McDonald stays on as head of health

BERNADETTE McDonald, who was appointed interim CEO of Canberra Health Services in October, will stay on in the role.

Ms McDonald replaced Janet Anderson who quit three days after it was publicly announced she would be its CEO.

Ms Anderson later said she had quit due to “personal circumstances”.

As a former deputy chief executive officer and acting CEO of Austin Health in Victoria Ms Mcdonald says she is delighted to continue to lead the organisation.

“I have really enjoyed my time here so far and I am looking forward to continuing to strive to make our services the best they can be in terms of delivering quality, safe and timely care for our community,” she says.
