Public helps solve eight historic robberies

Police are now appealing for information on a Subaru Brumby
FOLLOWING the public’s assistance, ACT police have linked a further eight historic aggravated robberies and one aggravated burglary at clubs and licensed premises.

Last month police identified a critical link across five historic aggravated robberies in Canberra between 2009 and 2010 and now, police believe another nine incidents between 2016 and 2018 are also linked.

Detective station sergeant Harry Hains says police are now appealing for information on a Subaru Brumby seen travelling with a white Toyota Hilux between 12am and 4pm on December 11, 2017.

“The vehicles may have been seen in Conder and Point Hut Crossing,” he says.

Mr Hains also would like to thank members of the public who provided information following their earlier appeal.

“Every piece of information could help police, no matter how small you think it is. Even if you aren’t sure it is relevant, it may be the missing piece we have been searching for,” he says.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6283658.
