Three dead after Monaro Highway crash

THREE people have died following a two-vehicle collision on Monaro Highway at Michelago overnight (July 18).

Just before 11.30pm emergency services were called to the Monaro Highway, about 38km south of Queanbeyan, following reports of a head-on crash.

A second passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was found with minor injuries. He was taken to Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The driver of the second vehicle, a man, and sole occupant of the Ford, also died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from Monaro Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call 1800 333000 or online at nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
