EDUCATION Minister Yvette Berry has come out and said the jobs of migrant cleaners are safe after Shadow Employment Minister Andrew Wall claimed migrant cleaners, working for the ACT government, are at risk of losing their jobs.
Following an Estimates hearing yesterday (June 24), Mr Wall said Ms Berry could not guarantee school cleaners from migrant backgrounds would be eligible to keep their jobs.
A spokesperson for Ms Berry has since disputed his commentary saying Mr Wall’s assertions were untrue and that the facts had been clarified in the Estimates hearing.
