Blaze causes smoke across Majura Parkway

Update, 4.57pm, July 23

CREWS have extinguished the fire at Mount Majura, which was believed to have been caused by a campfire. 

FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a grass and bush fire after reports of smoke near Mount Majura. 

The fire, which is located close to Hackett, is about 0.5ha in size and is burning at a slow rate.

ACT ESA says there is no current risk to the community.

Canberrans are advised to expect some smoke across the Majura Parkway.
