Car thief leaves vehicle burning in NSW

WHAT was left of a stolen white Mitsubishi outlander was found burnt out in NSW after the car was seen erratically driving around Canberra on Monday (July 8).

The stolen car was a white Mitsubishi outlander.

The stolen car was seen driving around Melba at about 3.30pm and then shortly after in Higgins.

Later, about 5pm, a witness saw the car in the Springrange/Wallaroo area in NSW before it was found by NSW police at Ginninderra Falls.

Police are urging anyone who may have dash-cam footage or any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6415217.
