Dog punched to death by angry lover

A RIVETT man has been charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly punched his ex-partner’s dog to death on Wednesday (August 28). 

Police were called out to a home in Macquarie on Thursday (August 29) after the 27-year-old man attacked the dog with a shovel on Wednesday.

The dog was euthanised by a veterinarian due to the severity of its injuries.
