Firefighters remove taxi roof to save passenger

Firefighters cut woman from car in Barton.

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman by cutting the roof of a taxi off, following a two-car crash in Barton today (August 2). 

Emergency services responded to the crash on the corner of Kings Avenue and Blackall Street at about 8.30am.

The woman, a passenger, was safely removed from the taxi but two other people were taken to hospital.

ACT ESA says they’re in a stable condition.
