Fyshwick mail centre forced to evacuate

A MAIL centre on Nyrang Street in Fyshwick was forced to evacuate following a gas leak. 

Thirty-three people had to leave the building while ACT Fire & Rescue investigate the leak.

The community is advised to avoid the area.

Update: 1.06pm

ACT Fire & Rescue  isolated the gas leak at the mail centre in Fyshwick and the building is now safe for occupants to re-enter.

There is no further risk to public safety.
