Lightning ruptures gas line overnight

LIGHTNING hit and ruptured a gas mainline at 2 Barkly Crescent, Forrest, during last night’s (January 17) storm. 

The street was closed off in both directions until ACT Fire & Rescue isolated the gas leak. 

Contractors have been working to restore gas to affected residents.
