Man assaults light rail employee

A MAN allegedly assaulted a Metro staff member at the Alinga Street station before boarding the light rail at about 4.15pm on Friday (June 21). 

The man, a 48-year-old, exited the light rail at the Gungahlin Place station.

Police have arrested the man but are now calling for anyone who witnessed the incident to speak with police.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6409207.
