Man glassed in Canberra bar

Police would like to speak to anyone who can identify this man

A MAN was left with facial injuries after being glassed in the face at Shorty’s Bar in Civic on Sunday (June 2). 

Police have since released video footage of a man believed to be the offender of the glassing, which occurred at about 1.30am in the upstairs area of the bar.

The man was escorted from the venue by security staff and left the area in the company of two other men.

He is described by police as being Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, with a medium build and short, dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue denim jacket, black jeans, black and white sneakers and black gloves.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may be able to identify the man from the CCTV footage.

Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6402431.
